Anitra Redlefsen is a Teaching Artist whose specialty is designing and implementing custom art experiences that are tailored for a person's or group's goals, interests and abilities. She conducts sessions in drawing, painting, sculpture, photography and mixed media which are based upon the Ohio Academic Content Standards for the Visual Arts and other subjects in the curriculum. Anitra does commission work, exhibits her work locally, is a conference presenter, and a Teaching Artist with Young Audiences of Greater Cleveland. Selected to participate in the Kennedy Center "Artist as Educators: Planning Effective Workshops for Teachers and Artists" training in 2005, she is currently one of 14 Ohio visual artists on the roster for conducting these teacher workshops. Anitra is a substitute teacher for the Medina County School district, and is writing and illustrating a book about her passion--- pomegranates. Anitra holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Visual Art and a Masters of Science in Human Resource Development and Training.
