"All About our Senses"

B. Program Description:
How lucky we are to have five wonderful senses with which to explore our world! In this workshop, students use the tools of sensory, descriptive words and art elements to talk about a poem and a painting. They explore a physical object (fruit, vegetable, something from nature), record sensory details about it, and create a visual art work using twigs and ink. Along the way, students are introduced to the work of poet Langston Hughes and painter Georgia O’Keefe.
